Interdisciplinary Workshop

Haberler ve Duyurular

led by Pierre Jodlowski

February 20–21–22, 2026
AASUS – Bilkent University, Ankara

We are excited to welcome Pierre Jodlowski to Bilkent University for a three-day interdisciplinary workshop exploring the intersections of sound, image, space, gesture, and staging.

Recognized internationally as one of the leading figures in contemporary experimental art and multimedia composition, Jodlowski’s work moves fluidly between music, performance, theater, and electronic art. His practice challenges conventional boundaries and treats sound as an active, physical and spatial process.

During the workshop, participants will engage in guided collective improvisations, discussions on visual integration and staging, and collaborative experimentation across disciplines. The focus will be on process: how sound interacts with image, how gesture shapes space, and how interdisciplinary thinking can transform artistic creation.

The workshop will culminate in a public collective performance on Sunday, February 22, presenting the results of the three-day exploration, followed by an open discussion with the audience.

The workshop is open to composers, musicians, performers, actors, and students interested in experimental and interdisciplinary practices. Active participation is encouraged.

We look forward to three days of experimentation, dialogue, and creation.

Pierre Jodlowski is a French composer, performer, and multimedia artist recognized as one of the leading figures in contemporary interdisciplinary art. His work stands at the intersection of acoustic and electronic sound, staging, visual media, and performance. Characterized by strong physical energy and dramatic intensity, his practice explores sound as an active process, engaging both spatial and psychological dimensions.

Pierre Jodlowski has collaborated with major contemporary music ensembles across Europe and beyond, and his works are regularly presented at leading festivals and institutions dedicated to experimental and contemporary art. In addition to his compositional work, he is co-artistic director of éOle (Toulouse), Artistic Director of the Musica Electronica Nova Festival in Wroclaw, and associated composer for the Composition Cursus at IRCAM.

He lives and works between France and Poland.

We take processes apart, rethink, rebuild, and deliver them back working smarter than ever before.
